Since then the former WWE Champion has resorted to social media to explain that he does not require surgery. This is so as his spinal cord is unharmed and his C1 and C6 vertebrae have fractured.

While Big E will undoubtedly be on the bench for a while, things could have been a lot worse for the New Day’s powerhouse.

Wade Keller writes that there is no blame on Ridge Holland for the mishap and that the Englishman behaved himself professionally backstage following E’s injuries.

What was the scene backstage after the BIG E neck Injury?

Keller discussed the following on his PWTorch VIP audio show:

“First of all, I will say I heard that Ridge Holland was very apologetic and very sorry about what happened backstage. He handled himself well. There doesn’t appear to be any heat on him. This was not a reckless move or something that Big E wasn’t ready for. Or that seemed like in any way Ridge Holland did anything wrong.”

Keller highlighted how much Big E is liked by the WWE backstage crew. Describing him as “one of the best humans in the world” by his colleagues.

It’s unclear how long E will be out of commission for the time being. But here’s hoping for a healthy and speedy recovery for one of the industry’s most beloved stars.

The 36-year-wrestling old’s career isn’t gone. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, though he will be out for a long time.

He continued to state:

“But in a sense, he was lucky and even joked about it noting that if it’s going to happen. Birmingham is the best place since WWE sends its talent to Birmingham for serious injuries. He will not need surgery, which would put him out of action for a long time. He is expected to make a recovery and return to the ring.”
