The Big Bash League 2021-22 has come to a close with Perth Scorchers defeating Sydney Sixers by 79 runs to clinch their fourth Big Bash League title, know the winners list

It was Captain Ashton Turner (54 from 35 balls) who along with Laurie Evans (76 not out from 41 balls) managed a 104-run stand for the fifth wicket, ultimately leading Perth Scorchers from 25 for 4 to an impressive 171 for 6 in 20 overs in the League final at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

As for the opposite team, the Sydney Sixers were completely battered after getting bowled out for only 92 in 16.2 overs, courtesy of an outstanding all-round performance by Turner and co, with Andrew Tye putting up a great bowling show of 3 for 15 in 3 overs. We also witnessed Jhye Richardson’s brilliance as he took 2 wickets, sweeping up the lower order.

In a total of 12 seasons, this happened to be the fifth final face-off between the Scorchers and the Sixers, with the former side leading by 3-2 now that they have won this time as well. With this title, the Scorchers have amassed the reputation of becoming the most successful team in BBL, also having beaten the Sixers a total of four times in as many games in Big Bash League 11.
