Widely recognized for his role in the Bollywood film ‘Gharwali Baharwali,’ Tripathi’s illustrious career spans over 250 films in Bollywood, where he collaborated with industry giants such as Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Ravi Kishan, Dharmendra, and Vinod Khanna.

Tribute Poured In
After learning the tragic news of actor’s demise, social media platforms was flooded with condolences and tributes from fans, friends and co-stars.
Ravi Kishan, a fellow actor and Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur, expressed his deep sorrow, emphasizing Tripathi’s significant contribution to the Bhojpuri film industry, stating, “We had done about 100 films with Brijesh Tripathi ji; his departure marks the end of an era in the Bhojpuri film industry. May God bestow the highest honor on his virtuous soul in heaven.”
Cause of Death
Sources reveal that 72 year old Tripathi contracted dengue two weeks ago and was undergoing treatment at a Meerut hospital. Unfortunately, after returning to Mumbai, he suffered a fatal heart attack last night.
Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead. The family, residing in Mumbai, conducted his last rites on December 18, 2023. The names of his family members aren’t known though.
Career
With a career spanning over four decades, Tripathi entered the film industry in 1979 with his debut movie, “Saiya Tohare Kaaran,” and made his Hindi cinema debut in 1980 with “Taxi Chor.”
Before venturing into the Bhojpuri industry, he had a stint in Bollywood. Beyond his cinematic accomplishments, Tripathi contributed to various TV series. Notable film credits include “Hamar Bodyguard Shiva,” “Driver Raja,” “Piya Chandani,” “Ram Krishna Bajrangi,” and “Janta Darbar,” among others.
In the realm of Bhojpuri films, he witnessed and contributed to the evolution of the industry. Tripathi collaborated with prominent figures in Bhojpuri cinema, such as Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Pawan Singh, and Khesari Lal Yadav. Limited information is available about Brijesh Tripathi’s family.
