According to Krafton, the prize pool for the first season of a Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) would be 2 crore Rupees, the largest prize pool for any esports competition in India to date.
As soon as the new BMOC closes, BMPS Season 1 will begin. The former is expected to be the grand finale, with 24 qualified teams from that battling for the championship.
What is BGMI BMPS Season 1 Format?
The tournament’s League Stage will begin on May 19, 2022, and end on June 5, 2022. The finals of the event will be held on June 9 and June 12, 2022. Based on the format & tournament structure, BMOC may be compared to the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO), whereas BMPS can be compared to the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL).
Season 1 of the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series will be split into two parts: League Stage and Finals. It follows the PUBG Mobile Pro League competition structure. BMPS Season 1: Here are some more details regarding the next BGMI esports tournament:
The tournament’s League Stage will feature 24 qualified BMOC 2022 teams. 3 weeks of blisteringly fierce encounters will pit these teams against one another. The teams will play in a Round Robin format, divided into three groups. A total of 24 matches will be played each week, with 6 of them taking place in the locations Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi, and Sanhok. Each group must-plays four matches on matchdays. The BMPS Season 1 Finals will include only the top 16 teams.
The finals of the competition will be held over four days, from June 9 to June 12, 2022. The 16 teams will compete in a total of 24 matches, with six matches being contested on any single day. The BMPS Season 1 champion will be the team with the most point at the end of the final match.
