KRAFTON releases BGMI 2.5 update back on Indian servers

KRAFTON opened the server for BGMI on 29 May allowing gamers to start playing on the same day. Following the release, Battlegrounds Mobile India then had its first event on 30 May 2023, which was a login event. BGMI gamers got to acquire up to four permanent skins from the same event.

Ahead of the release, gamers were asked to preload the title first by visiting the Google Play Store to install the title. Gamers, who were existing Android users, were allowed to preload the game ahead of the official launch on May 29. Meanwhile new gamers or iOS users had to wait until May 29 itself to download and play the game.

  • Gamers can also directly use this link to go to the Battlegrounds Mobile India page
  • Download the update (Size of the update is around 380 MB)
  • Download 1 GB of other necessary files in the game
  • Wait for the server to go live
  • Enjoy and play the game on 29 May 2023

Despite the relaunch, gamers should note that the relaunch is currently only set for about 90 days. Following the end of that period, the government will then review whether the game complies with Indian laws. The review will then lead to a decision on whether to release the game permanently or ban again.
