The first tournament of Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to be BGIS. BGMI India Series has a prize pool of 1 crore and the registration has started
Krafton has announced that the details of the first tournament of Battlegrounds Mobile India which is also known as BGIS. Moreover, a total of 1024 teams will qualify from the in-game qualifiers for online qualifiers. Also, a total of 32 teams will be invited to the tournament based on the team’s past performance in the PUBG Mobile tournaments.
The tournament is going to be vast and big and there is a huge opportunity for underrated players. Also, the format of the tournament is set in such a way that it will give an advantage to both kinds of teams who are aggressive or who are passive.
So, let’s have a look mon the format and the registration process of the first tournament of BGMI which is called BGIS.

There are certain conditions players need to fulfill in order to register for the tournament. Furthermore, the players should be an Indian citizen with a level of 15 or above ID and Platinum V tier.
How To Register:
- Visit the Official Website of BGMI Esports
- Click on the Red button which says register now
- Fill in your team details.
- Now, you will be asked the team’s captain details like ID proof, Date of Birth gender, email address, character id, in-game name, City, etc.
- Next, fill in the details of your team members
- Now, agree to the terms and click on submit
- You will receive a confirmation mail that you’re squad is now registered
BGIS Tournament Format And Teams
Registered players will play 15 matches on Erangle and their best 10 matches will be counted. So, if their best 10 matches come under the top 1024 teams then they will qualify for the next round which is online qualifiers. So, make sure to take win the game along with taking a high amount of kills in the in-game qualifiers. The in-game qualifiers will start from 2nd August and will end on 8th August.
The 1024 teams will be divided into a group of 16 where they will play 2 matches. Furthermore, the top 8 teams from the groups will move into the next round.
Next, the 512 teams will again play 2 matches in a group of 16 and this time top 7 teams will march forward.
In the next round, these 224 teams will come together with 32 invited teams and then the 256 will be divided into a group of 16. They will play 2 matches each and the top 4 teams will move forward in the tournament.
Next up is the quarter-finals where the rest of 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups and they will play 5 matches each. The top teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. There is also a second phase which somewhere acts as a lower bracket where the losing top 48 teams will be divided into 3 groups. They will be playing 6 matches and the top 2 teams will be qualifying for the semis. Also, the top 2 teams with the most number of finishes will be getting entry into the next round.
Now, the rest 24 teams will be divided into a group of 8 and they will compete in a Robin round format. The best 16 teams will make it into the Grand Finals and will play 20 matches in a span of 4 days.
