It is confirmed that the 2023 Battlegrounds Mobile India Series The Grind (BGIS) will run from 20th July through 20th August. During this tournament, 256 teams will participate and top-64 teams will qualify for the Play-offs. Notably, the net prize pool for this competition is approximately INR 2 Crores.

2023 BGIS The Grind: results, schedule, date, format, & qualified teams
On the inaugural day of 2023 BGIS The Grind, three games were played amongst the teams in Group 2 and at the end of Day 1, Reckoning Esports emerged victorious by earning 57 points, by winning two of their three matches and claiming two Chicken Dinners. Notably, the top-8 teams from Day-1 have qualified for the next round. Team Strange finished in second-place with 36 points, which was possible thanks to them winning the second match. Meanwhile, GlitchxReborn finished third with 26-points and SPY Esports finished fourth with 29-points.
With 29 points, the newly reorganized Hyderabad Hydras moved up to fifth place. Additionally, Growing Strong, Mavericks, & Team VST 28 managed to seal their berth in the next round. Despite their decent run in the second match of the opening day, 4Noob finished ninth in the overall standings and missed the qualification opportunity. Meanwhile, Rampage Soldiers had an awful experience as they managed to bag just one point from three matches.
