Betvictor Snooker Championship League 2022 Day 4 Results, Score, Upcoming Schedule, Draw And Other Details
To advance to Winners’ Week at the 2022 BetVictor Championship League Snooker at the Morningside Arena in Leicester, Luca Brecel and Lu Ning won Groups 10 and 29, respectively. Brecel entered Group 10 with the intention of building on a strong campaign from the previous year, joining Robbie Williams, Zhao Jianbo, and Oliver Brown. The Belgian Bullet defeated Zhao in his maiden encounter with a swift 3-0 victory while maintaining a cool head throughout. The victory included breaks of 76 and 85 in the second and third frames.
Brecel defeated Brown 3-1 in the first game of the evening after Brown, who was playing professionally for the first time, had taken the opening break to rouse Brecel. Due to Brecel’s victory, Zhao and Brown had to compete for third and last place, respectively. Zhao prevailed with a rout victory to take home the cash, while Brown would go empty-handed.
In the final round of the action, Brecel and Williams met to pick the group with both parties’ perspectives being apparent. Brecel simply need a point, whereas Williams needed to win in order to advance. After breaks of 44 and 68, Williams had the stronger start and appeared to be in the lead, but Brecel quickly overtook him. After Zhao Xintong advanced earlier in the week, a granite 67 in the third put Williams on high alert, and Brecel’s coolness saw out a draw with a break of 98, his best of the day, to become the second Top 16 player to reach Winners’ Week.
On Monday, Ronnie O’Sullivan will compete in Group 1 of the BetVictor Championship League Snooker together with Alexander Ursenbacher, Farakh Ajaib, and Alfie Burden.
