A professional ranking snooker competition called the 2022 BetVictor Northern Ireland Open will be held at Belfast, Northern Ireland’s Waterfront Hall from October 16–23, 2022. It will be the third tournament in the BetVictor Series, the first event in the Home Nations Series, and the fourth ranking event of the 2022–23 season. The Northern Ireland Open will take place for the sixth time.

BetVictor Northern Ireland Open Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And List of Players
2022 Northern Ireland Open, the first of Home Nations tournaments will begin on Sunday, signaling the beginning of a very busy snooker season. In this upcoming tournament, Ronnie O’Sullivan will attempt to extend his lead at the top of snooker rankings by competing well in the Belfast tournament after his victory at the Hong Kong Masters. After skipping the Championship League, European Masters, and British Open, Neil Robertson will return to compete in his first ranking event. From October 16 to October 23, the Northern Ireland Open will take place at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall. In honor of the well-known two-time world champion, the trophy is known as the Alex Higgins Trophy.
Top 16 players in the globe as well as wildcard matches featuring local players will have their qualifying matches postponed and will take place on the first two days in Belfast, where all elite snooker players will compete. Among the well-known players competing on opening day of the tournament are Zhao Xintong, Judd Trump, Mark Selby, Mark Williams, Selby, Allen, and O’Sullivan. On Sunday at 19:00, O’Sullivan takes on Lukas Kleckers; that match will be followed by Allen v. Chang Bingyu, with Trump, Selby, and Robertson appearing in the best of the afternoon’s action.
Up to and including the fourth round, matches will be best of seven frames, as is the standard for all Home Nations competitions. The quarterfinals will consist of nine frames, the semifinals will consist of 11 frames, and the championship match will consist of 17 frames.

Prize Money Pool Distribution of 2022 Northern Ireland Open
Winner of the Northern Ireland Open in 2022 will receive £80,000 in prize money, while the runner-up would only receive £35,000. A minimum of £17,500 in prize money will be awarded to each semifinalist from the competition’s £427,000 total prize fund.
