The BetVictor European Masters 2022 is a professional snooker tournament that took place from February 21 to February, we take a look at the results of the final and prize money

The final pitted world number 80 Fan Zhengyi, who was competing in his first ranking final, against six-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, who was competing in his 60th ranking final. O’Sullivan only led once in the match, at 1–0, but he kept up with Fan and eventually forced the match into a deciding frame. In the decider, Fan struck a 92 break to beat O’Sullivan 10–9 and earn his maiden ranking title.

After Ding Junhui, Liang Wenbo, Yan Bingtao, and Zhao Xintong, Fan Zhengyi became the fifth Chinese player to win a ranking tournament, as well as the fourth player to win a maiden ranking championship in the 2021–22 season, following David Gilbert, Zhao, and Hossein Vafaei.

Fan rose from 80th to 31st in the world rankings thanks to his £80,000 prize money for winning the European Masters. Fan scored two century breaks in the final compared to O’ Sullivan’s one.

Schedule and Venue

The tournament ran from 21st February 2022 to 27th February 2022 at Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes in England. The final was scheduled on 27th February and was played over both afternoon session at 2:30 PM GMT and 7:00 PM GMT evening session.

The score was locked at 4-4 in the end of afternoon session. In the evening session, Fan Zhengyi won 6-5 and ultimately won the final. The match was refereed by Leo Scullion.

Century Breaks

European Masters saw 60 century breaks in the tournament. Ronnie O’ Sullivan scored the highest break with a score of 141. Ronnie scored a total of ten century breaks while Champion Fan Zhengyi scored five century breaks in the tournament.

Ronnie O’ Sullivan got 5,000 Pounds prize money for scoring the highest break.
