Recap of Chapter 372 of Berserk
As the chapter opens, readers are greeted with an agonizing scene of Casca screaming as she is being dragged away by Griffith and his band. Guts watch, helpless and defeated, as his beloved is taken from him. The situation quickly transforms into a bewildering and odd experience for Casca as she awakens in an unexpected location on a comfortable bed.
Casca returned to the castle, had dinner, and then retired to her room after time spent in the fields with the children. She was anxious as she relaxed in the water as memories filled her mind.
The situation suddenly changed, and Casca started to scream and fight to get away from the women who were tending to her. The guards noticed the disturbance and immediately surrounded her to try and calm her down. However, in an effort to escape the situation, Casca retaliated. As the scene changed, Casca was back in bed, sound asleep.
As the story continued, the scene changed once more; this time, Griffith had a conversation with his officers. One of the commanders noted that the bird was safely fastened in its cage. Griffith spoke the word “East,” and the camera focused on the edges of the page he had been standing on. The final panel was a glowing tree with the words “Everything proceeds according to his will” written over it.
