Sunday was the last day of the Bengaluru Open 2023. Max Purcell, an Australian tennis player, won the men’s singles title, know the 2023 tennis prize money
In a very close match at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) Stadium, Purcell beat his fellow Australian James Duckworth.
Purcell’s win was his second ATP Challenger title in a row. The week before, he won the Chennai Challenger. The 23-year-old, who is currently ranked No. 155 in the ATP Singles Rankings, played well throughout the Bengaluru Open 2023 and deserved to win.

The final was a close match, with Duckworth taking the first set with a score of 6-3. But Purcell came back in the second set, and in the 12th game, he got a break to tie the match. In the third set, Purcell found his rhythm and shocked Duckworth with some powerful backhand shots. Purcell kept his cool in the tiebreaker to win the title 3-6, 7-5, 7(7)-6 (5).

He was born in Sydney, Australia, on April 3, 1998. He started playing tennis when he was five years old and was good at it right away. In 2017, Purcell went pro and has been making a name for himself on the ATP Challenger Tour ever since.
