The Ben Simmons saga is sinking further into a pickle as the days pass.
After refusing to attend the Philadelphia 76ers training camp, Ben Simmons took a colossal u-turn as he decided to finally show up. It was an unprecedented move from the player, someone who had blatantly vowed to never return to the side ahead of the 2022 season.
However, Simmons’ turnaround was due to financial reasons and not owing to his willingness to reconcile things with his side. Far from tying up loose ends, Simmons was only interested in safeguarding his salary with the 76ers refusing to pay him anything till he improved his demeanor.

Unfortunately for him though, Simmons’ petulant personality saw him scupper any chances of being paid by his team. The player was thrown out of the 76ers practice session ahead of the NBA 2022 season by coach Doc Rivers after he refused to be subbed on in a drill.
Simmons was also suspended for the first match of the season for his decadent behaviour with witnesses revealing that he had thrown the ball away before storming out of the arena. However, that isn’t the only misdemeanor he carried out with people who have been privy to developments divulging Simmons’ behavior ever since his return to training.
As per eye witnesses, Simmons refused to interact with anyone at the 76ers base since his return. Despite being greeted by his players who welcomed him back, Simmons refused to reciprocate the greetings with him even ignoring the team members at the stadium with him trying his best not to be an active participant with the side.
