2022 Belgian Darts Open Day 1 Results, Venue, Draw, Tickets, And Penultimate Day Schedule
Huybrechts and De Decker joined seeded star Dimitri Van den Bergh as local favourites in the final 32 of the inaugural PDC European Tour tournament at the Oktoberhallen, which began with 32 qualifiers vying for berths in Saturday’s second round. Former European Tour champion Huybrechts defeated Steve West with a well acclaimed score of 6-4, and he will now play Michael van Gerwen in a crucial second round matchup.
De Decker, on the other hand, advanced to a tie with reigning European Champion Rob Cross after winning an all-Belgian match against big-stage debutant Remo Mandiau 6-3. In order to prevent Baetens from making his European Tour debut, Madars Razma defeated the Belgian 6-4 in the final game. The Latvian will now face UK Open champion Danny Noppert in the round of 16 as compensation.
On Saturday, Jelle Klaasen of the Netherlands will compete against Dave Chisnall in another intriguing match after defeating Schweyen 6-4 with the help of a timely 12-darter. Karel Sedlacek of the Czech Republic also defeated Vandaele by the same score. Van den Bergh, the top-ranked player in Belgium, will face Andrew Gilding, who defeated Simon Whitlock in a decisive leg.
