Norway with an overall of 37 medals broke the record for most gold medals in one single Olympic Winter Games with 16 gold, 8 silver, and 13 bronze medals.

Recently, another great thing that we witnessed winter in the 2022 Winter Olympics Beijing is that Elana Meyers Taylor clinched her fifth Olympic medal along with another record of making her the most decorated African American Winter Olympian in history.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, 109 gold medals were awarded in total, which was actually increased from 102 medals in Pyeongchang four years back and far far away from the medal count of 16 on offer at the first Winter Olympics at Chamonix in 1924.

Also, the United States reached Beijing with the second-most Winter Olympics medals with a count of 305 and, with the intention of increasing them.

Almost 300 medals were awarded to participants of the 2022 Beijing Winter Games which was spread across 15 sports and 109 events. The events ranged from skiing to bobsledding to figure skating, and the world-class athletes and legends of the sport went on a fight for the gold medal during the two-week global competition on the grandest stage.
