BCCI Flies India Cricket Team And Players Wives From Manchester To Trinidad In Chartered Flight For Rs 3.5 Crore

India cricket team latest visit to Trinidad cost BCCI to pay a whopping amount for the chartered flight of Rs 3.5 crores

Team India on Wednesday, arrived in Trinidad ahead of their ODI and T20I series against the West Indies.

The richest cricket board BCCI had to arrange the chartered flight for the players as no commercial flight was available from Manchester to Trinidad. The chartered flight has cost BCCI a whopping amount of Rs 3.5 crore, BCCI being the richest cricket board in the world, the amount surely would not have affected the expenditure that much with many citing this current action from the BCCI as an act of mighty.

The reason for booking the charter flight was not Covid-19, but due to the high bookings of commercial flight tickets at this point. Team Indian has travelled with a squad of 16 team players including their wives, supporting staff and head coach Rahul Dravid.

Team India will face West Indies for the first ODI of the series on Friday at Queens Park Oval Stadium in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side while Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are being rested from the series. Indian star bowling duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami is also being rested.

It will be a great opportunity for the Indian youngsters to prove their strength against this experience West Indies side.

The last time West Indies visited India was back in February and now will attend India at their home soil. However, in the T20i world cup year, the ODI’s schedule assumes less significance but will bring opportunities for Indian young talent to give their full in the absence of senior experienced players.
