The first Basketball Africa League was expected to start from May 16, 2021. But due to the on-going pandemic, even BAL could not find a way out of its clutches. With the entire regular season changed into a group stage format, hoops fans have a lot of learn about Africa’s premier basketball league.

What Is The Basketball Africa League?
An effort of FIBA and NBA, the Basketball Africa League was conceptualized to offer the continent with its first proper basketball league.
Comprising of 12 teams, BAL 2021 features some stellar players from across the global stage. The league has not only roped in some gargantuan names from the basketball arena but has also reveled in names like rapper J Cole to try and attract eyeballs to BAL 2021.
Initially slated to be conducted in 2020, the showpiece league was postponed to 2021 owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Given the improving condition in Africa, the league has finally gotten underway to fulfill the insatiable appetite of African basketball enthusiasts. The competition is availble for viewing on NBA TV.
