The stadium’s maiden One-Day International (ODI) took place on October 21, 2018. Hosts India faced off against the West Indies cricket team, with India clinching victory by eight wickets. From March 4, 2019, to March 9, 2019, the stadium created history by hosting Women’s International Cricket for the first time. The series comprised three Women’s Twenty20 International matches, featuring the England women’s cricket team and the Indian women’s cricket team. The England women’s cricket team secured a 3–0 victory in the WT20I series.
