With the appointment of Joan Laporta in the summer, Barcelona are moving upwards and onwards after bagging a new sponsorship deal with Spotify. It is one of the most expensive sponsorship deals in the sport which will be €75 million per year, for three years that will result in £236 million. This kind of money would be beneficial for the Blaugranas who are hoping to come out of this financial turmoil they find themselves in.

Online music streaming platform Spotify has decided to increase its market share in the world of soccer which looks so illuminating from the outside. Spotify will sponsor the men’s, women’s, and will also receive the title rights of the Camp Nou for 3 years.

On the other hand, Barcelona are really fortunate to secure this new deal that will fill the big hole in the accounts department. The majority of players were taking huge pay cuts because of the poor financial conditions and new arrivals looked like a dream. However, Laporta has managed to turn around the situation in some manner but they still have a long way to go.

Breakdown Of The New Sponsorship Deal:

  1. Spotify will replace Rakuten as the main sponsor.
  2. Polkadot will replace Beko on the sleeve starting next season.
  3. Spotify will replace Stanley as the main sponsor of the women’s team.
  4. Spotify has also secured the title rights of the Camp Nou meaning they can add Spotify at the beginning or at the end.
  5. Spotify will also sponsor the training kit for men and women.
