Barcelona hosts the annual Barcelona Open tennis tournament, now known as Barcelona Open BancSabadell.
The ATP Tour has approved it as one of their 500 series competitions. The current sponsor of the tournament is Banc Sabadell.

The total prize money for the 2023 Barcelona Open is €2,722,480 and the singles champion will receive a cheque worth €477,795 and 500 ranking points.

The prestigious tournament will celebrate its 70th anniversary at the forthcoming Barcelona Open in 2023.
The outdoor clay court will once more host the event. It will have a prize pool of €2,722,480 and an official ATP rating point system.
Barcelona Open 2023 Seeds:
The tournament’s top seed is the professional tennis player from Spain, Carlos Alcaraz. The last singles ATP champion is currently ranked second.
Alcaraz earned the seventh victory of his career at the ATP Masters this year. He most recently failed to successfully reclaim his Miami crown after falling to Jannik Sinner in the semifinals.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is this week’s second seed in Barcelona. He most recently failed to successfully defend the Monte-Carlo Masters title for the third time after falling to Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals.
Casper Ruud, a professional tennis player from Norway, is seeded third in this week’s ATP 500 competition.
Since April 3rd, the teenage tennis player is ranked fifth in the ATP singles rankings. Ruud has won his tenth singles championship by defeating Miomir Kecmanovic in the 2023 Estoril Open finals.
