Investigative journalist Romain Molina has claimed that the swap deal between Juventus and Barcelona involving Miralem Pjanic and Arthur Melo was illegalÂ
Ever since investigative journalist Romain Molina came out with a barrage of allegations and revelations regarding what transpires in the underbelly of the world of football, there’s been massive upheaval across the global fraternity.
The most notable allegation from the well reputed journalist was of Ferland Mendy having assaulted a girl and shown her his genitals back in 2018, claims ensuing which Mendy didn’t make it to Real Madrid’s training on Friday. The move is a testament to Molina’s allegation being true.

Among the scores of revelations by Molina, one was also made on the swap deal between Juventus and Barcelona which involved Miralem Pjanic and Arthur Melo. Molina has gone onto claim that the deal was an illegal one, one which saw Arthur join the Serie A side for 72 million euros plus 10 million euros in variables.

Pjanic had meanwhile gone the other way for 60 million euros plus 5 million euros in variables. This isn’t the first time that the transaction has been put to the sword with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Italian Football Federation also scrutinizing the deal previously.

The deal was said to be nothing more than an accounting trick by both the parties. Despite both the players being far from valued at the money which switched hands, the deal was said to hold such a staggering value so that both the clubs could balance their books.
