Bama Rush Videos on TikTok
As we have already discussed, to join a sorority, one has to film a video and send it to the sorority leader. However, things have evolved in the age of social media.
Now, students at the University of Alabama are using TikTok as the medium to upload their sorority pledge videos on the video-sharing app.
Students at the college are using the hashtags like #BamaRush and #AlabamaRush to upload their videos and to make sure they are seen by their chosen sorority.
This trend is quite big and the hashtag #BamaRush has actually had a staggering 845 million views and the other hashtag #AlabamaRush has lost 150 million views too.
Fresher students are doing all types of things, like TikTok dance, showing off their outfit, singing and showing other talents in their sorority videos. These kinds of videos have already gone viral on the platform.

Though these videos were designed to be seen by the other people at the University of Alabama and sorority leaders, they have taken on an unintentional new audience.
