2023 Baltic Sea Darts Open: Dave Chisnall vs Luke Humphries final results, score, & match summary
Humphries missed four early doubles, which allowed Chisnall to capture the first three legs without a challenge and establish control. Although Humphries proved his mettle by restoring parity at 4-4, Chisnall regained the momentum thanks to his legs of 12 & 13 darts. Humphries claimed the thirteenth leg to keep his hopes alive, but Chisnall bagged double five for a 13-darter to clinch the victory by score of 8-5. Before winning an incredible semi-final with Jonny Clayton 7-5, Dave Chisnall narrowly defeated German favorite Martin Schindler in the quarterfinals.
Humphries, the fifth-ranked player in the world, finishes second in Kiel and takes home £12,000 after losing in a European Tour final for the first time. The top seed was in excellent form as he defeated Dirk van Duijvenbode and Dimitri Van den Bergh to qualify for the semi-final, where he outlasted Ryan Searle’s two missed match darts in the dying moments of the match.
