All eight PDC players advanced to Friday’s final rounds after the first round, although numerous stars challenged their well-known opponents to a fight to the bitter end, demonstrating the growing strength of the sport in Asia. Wright, a two-time world champion, pleased the Bahraini fans by sporting the country flag’s motif on his head and shirt, but he needed a comeback to defeat Toru Suzuki of Japan 6-3.
In a different match, Dimitri Van den Bergh outlasted Alain Abiabi despite the latter coming from behind 4-1 to tie the score at five before missing a match dart at tops in the decisive leg. Elsewhere, Hong Kong’s Man Lok Leung impressed with an 11-darter in some strong early darts, but Luke Humphries overcame a 3-1 deficit to win. Nitin Kumar of India was defeated by former world champion Cross 6-2 as the former world champion started the match with a 140 checkout and quickly built 4-0 lead before securing the victory.
On Friday, Bahrain Darts Masters will culminate with the quarterfinal, semi-final, & final matches all taking place and feature all of the top-ranked players including the reigning world champion Michael Smith. For this event, tickets can be purchased by fans from here.

2023 Bahrain Darts Masters: prize money pool distribution
According to PDC announcements, the prize pool for the 2023 Bahrain Darts Masters will be £60,000. The winner of this tournament will receive £20,000, while the runner-up will receive £10,000 in prize money. Following their early elimination from the first-round, all Asian competitors including Nitin Kumar will earn £1,250 apiece.
