The 17-team tournament is all set to begin on Tuesday, February 14 and go on until February 19.

Defending champions China who are also one of the favourites will play on the first day at the Expo City Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2023
China, who are placed in Group A will begin their campaign with a match against Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, Japan and Indonesia will go up against Pakistan and Syria, in Group D and C respectively.
India are placed in Group B and will begin their campaign with a clash against Kazakhstan in their opening match. Host nation UAE are also set to take on Malaysia in the same group encounter as India.
Format
The teams from the three groups A, B, and D will play three games each. Meanwhile teams from Group C will play four games each. The top two teams from each group will then move on to the knockout stages for the quarterfinals. The knockout rounds will begin on Day 4, February 17. Following which the semi-finals and final round will take place on Sunday (February 19).
UAE set to host Badminton Asia Championship
UAE are set to host the Badminton Asia Championship for the first time. The tournament will eventually play a key role for the nation in their qualifying for the upcoming Sudirman Cup, Thomas and Uber Cups and the all-important Olympics.
Dr. Sathya Menon, CEO of Beyond Boundaries the local organizers, expressed his delight while welcoming all the participating teams. He stated:
