The 2024 Badminton Asia Championships, also known as the Bank of Ningbo Badminton Asia Championships 2024, is a badminton competition which is in its 41st edition.

The prestigious Badminton Asia Championships is a Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super 1000 event, allowing players to earn valuable world ranking points. This year’s edition is the ultimate qualifying event for Asian badminton players looking to clinch spots in the Paris Olympics.

The tournament will include men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles, with about 320 athletes from 28 countries and regions expected to compete.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, both Indian badminton players, have withdrawn from their men’s doubles title defence at the forthcoming Badminton Asia Championships due to Rankireddy’s shoulder ailment.

Satwik is currently recovering from a shoulder ailment, therefore the couple opted out of the tournament.

The Chinese badminton squad, which includes representatives from all five competitive categories, is preparing to compete in the championship across the board. Wang Chang, a young badminton sensation from Ningbo, and his partner Liang Weikeng are set to face an intimidating Indian combo in the first round.
