This year’s edition marks the 40^th edition of the tournament after it was first organized in 1962. After 1991 onwards, the tournament was held biennially.

The event then alternated between the team and the individual competition before the team event was eventually omitted. The tournament faced a controversy back in 2003 when China withdrew from the tournament.

Badminton Asia Championships 2023 dates and venue

The 2023 Badminton Asia Championship will take place from 25^th to 30^th of April. The Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, located in Dubai, UAE will host the tournament.

Badminton Asia Championships 2023 live telecast and live stream

In India, the Sony Sports Network has the broadcast rights of the competition. As such, fans in India can watch the live telecast of the event on the Sony Sports 2 and Sports 2 HD channels.

Aside from that, fans can also live stream the event on the Sony Live app using a premium subscription. Fans cans also log into the championship website or official YouTube channel to watch it.
