Considered to be an action comedy film or the “Baap of all movies,” the movie Baap is directed by director Vivek Chauhan. Chauhan has also worked as an assistant director in Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt starrer romantic drama film Highway in 2014.
The story of the movie is penned by Om: The Battle Within writer Raj Suluja with co-writers Niket Pandey and JoJo Khan. This movie is backed by movie maker Ahmed Khan in association with Zee Studios.
Baap Movie Star Cast And Poster
The poster of the movie has been released and the names of characters are now out. You will be seeing Sanjay Dutt as Ballu, Sunny Deol as the character Arjun, Mithun as Yeda Bhagat and Jackie Shroff as Jaikishan. Zee Studio also shared the first look poster ft. Mithun, Sunny, Sanjay and Jackie with hashtag Baap of All Films but still the title is not clear.
In June of 2022, Jackie Shroff uploaded a picture which is featuring him with Mithun and Sanjay from the first day of the shoot. Moreover, Sunny Deol is missing in the photos as he joined the team later on.
Talking about Mithun Chakraborty, he was last seen in this year’s one of the biggest Bollywood blockbuster named The Kashmir Files. This was directed as well as co-produced by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Moreover, he has a Bengali film titled Projapati in his kitty.
Sunny Deol has several other projects lined up including the film Gadar 2 in which he will be reunited with Ameesha Patel and also has Soorya and Apne 2 in the pipeline.
Baap Movie Release Date
Ahmed Khan’s production has been declared on the 72nd birthday of Mithun Chakraborty which is the 16th of June. Moreover, the makers haven’t made an official declaration regarding the release date of the movie but it is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2023.
