Ayakashi Triangle is an upcoming Japanese anime series. The storyline of the anime starts in the fictitious Omiko City, which is situated in Japan’s countryside. Omiko is occupied by ayakashi, ghosts that are unseen to most individuals. The few people who can see ayakashi are those who have a high level of one of the two energies that humanity is made up of. The first one is Haku or life energy, and the second one is kon, or spiritual energy.

The plot of episode 1 of the series will revolve around the childhood friends Matsuri Kazamaki and Suzu Kanade. They also have the same gift of seeing ayakashi. Suzu is an Ayakashi Medium whose ability attracts many ayakashi to her. Matsuri is a descendant of a lineage of exorcist ninjas who defend people from bad ayakashi.
Matsuri realizes that Suzu’s increasing energy would surely attract ayakashi who will try to consume her in order to gain extra strength. Therefore, he chooses to defend Suzu by repressing the wicked ayakashi who confront her. However, on the first day of high school, Shirogane attacks Suzu.
Unable to defeat him, Matsuri locks aside most of his powers. But before he does so, Shirogane casts a spell on Matsuri, transforming him into a lady. He wanted that the alteration will spoil any future romance between him and Suzu. Shirogane seeks to restore his power and eat Suzu while Suzu supports Matsuri in adjusting to his new lifestyle as a girl.
