Streaming Update! Earlier, the makers of the Avatar The Last Airbender movie had announced that the film was far from done but a release date is out now
However, now we have good news for the fans of Avatar, as Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation have announced the release date of the film.

As per a report by Variety, Avatar will bring its upcoming project to screens in 2025. The untitled project will be produced by both aforementioned brands alongside Avatar Studios.
Release Date of Avatar & SpongeBob
For those who want to know the exact release date of the animated film, as per the statement given by makers, the movie will be released on October 10, 2025.
As per the Variety, Avatar movie is going to release alongside a new “SpongeBob” movie, which as of now is also untitled and is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2025.
These both animated movies will get worldwide release.
Earlier, in June, it was expressed that the makers of Avatar are working on not one but 3 standalone films.
As per reports, the director of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Lauren Montgomery has already announced to be directing the movie along with Konietzko, DiMartino and Eric Coleman producing.
For those who are unversed let us tell you, the original ‘Avatar’ series ran between 2005 to 2008 on Nickelodeon. Followed by ‘The Legend of Korra’ which continued the film’s further story from 2012 to 2014.
Let us remind you once again, the show was based on the adventures of mystical Avatar, a person who can master all 4 elements of nature i.e, Air, Water, Earth and Fire.
The streaming giants, Netflix, were also reportedly making the live-action version of the series. The show has wrapped its production part back in June 2022.
Meanwhile, the fans of the SpongeBob franchise received a gift from the makers last year with the release of “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.”
If you’re not aware about SpongeBob franchise history, don’t fret, let us tell you, the iconic Nickelodeon drama first started back in the year 1999.
At the time, the show went on air for 13 seasons and more than 270 episodes. Later, the makers released a movie featuring adorable SpongeBob in 2004 titled The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie.
Followed by a 2015’s animated film, the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
