The official Attacks on Titan Twitter account announced that the second episode of the final season won’t be available immediately. The episode won’t be available to viewers until the fall.
While the precise release date is still pending confirmation, we can anticipate the makers to announce it soon. Given that the studio only needs to work on one episode for the remaining six to seven months, we can only infer that the second episode will air in September.
It wouldn’t be an issue for MAPPA to release it in the early fall, as the remaining episodes have been in the works for a while. The second episode of AOT’s final season, Part 3, is, however, also eagerly anticipated to be one hour long. The total time for this last episode equates to watching three 20-minute episodes of a typical anime.
To celebrate the announcement, the developers furthermore unveiled a brand-new promotional film. There is no information about episode 89 in the video except that it will be released in the fall of 2023.
A fresh key visual was also released, showing Eren in his Founding Titan form pursuing his companions as they fled. It included Mikasa, Armin, Zeke, Hange, Levi, Jean, and Conny. The main image also expresses gratitude to the audience for viewing Season 4, Part 3’s premiere.
Fans’ Reaction To Delay In Release
It was obviously big news for the AOT supporters, and people didn’t give them an opportunity to say what they thought. Of course, the majority of comments expressed their sadness at having to wait once again to view the series’ final episode.
