The San Diego Open marks the return of the ATP tour after a week of Davis Cup service. From September 19 to 25, the ATP 250 tournament’s second edition is set to take place.

Casper Ruud, a finalist at the 2022 US Open and French Open, is the current champion but will compete in the forthcoming Laver Cup instead. The top three seeds are Americans Jenson Brooksby, Marcos Giron, and Pedro Martinez. Dan Evans is seeded first.

Schedule
September 17 and 18 will see the qualifying rounds, while September 19 will see the start of the main draw. The day session will start at 11:30 am and go through Saturday; the night session will begin at 5:30 pm.
The first round of play, the semifinals, and the championship game will occur on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. On Sunday at 2, the doubles final will start, and at 5, the singles final.

Players, Seeds, Draw
Too seeds have received a second round bye for the ATP San Diego Open 2022.
The top half of the draw is supported by Dan Evans and Marcos Giron. The Brit might play Taro Daniel in the second round, and either Steve Johnson or Brandon Holt could be waiting for him in the quarterfinals.
With seventh seed James Duckworth awaiting him in the round of eight, third seed Marcos Giron may face Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round. The top player in the bottom half of the draw is second seed Jenson Brooksby. His likely opponent in the second round may be fellow countryman Mackenzie McDonald.
