An annual tennis tournament organised for male tennis professionals. Monte Carlo is scheduled to commence from April 10 to April 17, 2022. Let’s review some top favourite participants at the Masters 1000 event that is played on clay court.
Rafael Nadal, the player with the most success at the Monte Carlo event with a whopping 11 titles including right back to back victories, will miss the tournament following a foot injury. Along with the Spaniard, World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev will also not appear in Monte Carlo. The player had a long-running season this year and has suffered a hernia. Former US Open champion Dominic Thiem also quits because of COVID-19 and Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini goes through a minor operation so he will also not appear for the event.

20-times Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is returning to tennis for the first time after his quarterfinals exit at the Dubai Tennis Championships.
No. 1 ATP player is a heavy favourite for the tournament in absence of the other two from the “Big Three”. The Serbian was departed from this year’s first Grand Slam before which, he won three Grand Slams in a year. Novak is expected to continue with his tremendous form.
Andrey Rublev
No. 6 Andrey Rublev is going through a pretty good season in 2022. The Russian has won the Dubai Tennis Championships this year and reached the semifinals of the next event at the BNP Paribas Open before he was defeated by Taylor Fritz, the winner of the Indian Wells 2022. At Open 13, he was the finalist before he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime and in the semifinals of the Rotterdam, he lost to the same player.

Stefanos Tsitsipas
Reigning champion Stefanos Tsitsipas is also back showing off his Adidas tennis shoes that make him feel like wearing them all day. The Greek seems well prepared for the action in Monte Carlo.
Tsitsipas made it to the semifinals of the Mexican Open before he lost to Cameron Norrie and the quarterfinals of the Open 13 where he was defeated by Roman Safiullin. At Rotterdam, he reached the final losing to Felix Auger-Aliassime and at the first Grand Slam of the year, the player made it to the semis before he got dusted off by Daniil Medvedev.
Pretty good advancements this season so far and is expected to go more ahead.
Casper Ruud
Casper Ruud recently reached the final of the Miami Open event where he went past some great players. One of the players he defeated was Alexander Zverev which tells a lot about his potential and form this season. The 23-year-old Norwegian player won the Argentina Open defeating Diego Schwartzman.
Ruud is in good form, he had just reached the semifinals of an event that is enough to boost his confidence and form.
Felix Auger-Aliassime
The finalist at the Open 13 before he lost to Andrey Rublev, the Canadian defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas to clinch the ATP Rotterdam title. Felix in the event defeated players like Rublev, Norrie, and Murray showing his tactics and potential. He reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open but aas defeated by a very strong Daniil Medvedev.
The 21-year-old from Canada showed his stunning form at the ATP Cup and was one of the key players powering Team Canada to win their first ATP Cup title.
