Los Cabos Open was an ATP tennis event that took place outside on hard courts. The tournament in 2022 was in its sixth year of the ATP Tour 250 series for the 2022 ATP Tour. From August 1 to August 6, 2022, Los Cabos, Mexico hosted the event.

Daniil Medvedev vs Cameron Norrie
On Saturday, Daniil Medvedev won the Abierto de Tenis Mifel in Los Cabos by defeating Cameron Norrie 7-5, 6-0 to capture his first championship of the year.
Medvedev had lost his previous five finals going all the way back to the Rolex Paris Masters of the previous year when the match began. The top seed, however, showed no signs of trepidation as he converted six of his ten break points and sprinted to a one-hour, 23-minute victory.
After the opening set, things started to change. Medvedev had two set points on his serve at 5-4, 40/15, but he forfeited his service break. On the first point of the following game, he attempted to hit a ball but scratched his hand on the court instead, drawing blood, necessitating physiotherapy. However, Medvedev didn’t panic and quickly got back to work. The World No. 1 won the final eight games of the match to cap up his first week of competition since Mallorca in June.
Medvedev has moved up to fifth place in the Pepperstone ATP Race to Turin thanks to the 250 points he collected in Los Cabos. He is attempting to reach the Nitto ATP Finals for a fourth straight year.

The American-Serbian combination won the Abierto de Tenis Mifel title in Los Cabos on Saturday by defeating fourth seeds Raven Klaasen and Marcelo Melo with a score of 6-0, 6-1.
ATP Los Cabos Open 2022 Men’s Singles And Doubles Prize Money Distribution
The Los Cabos Open will award $822,110 in total prize money in 2022, a 37.35 per cent increase from 2021.
The winner at Los Cabos namely Daniil Medvedev will receive a check for $125,040, which is more than twice (113%) what Cameron Norrie received when he won the championship the previous year.
The amount awarded to the runner-up namely Norrie is $72,395, a 72 per cent increase over the amount offered in 2021.
