The Los Cabos Open, a relatively recent addition to the ATP schedule, had its first competition in 2016. To revive the tennis scene in Latin America, the competition was founded. Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, serves as the venue.

Sam Querrey, Fabio Fognini, Diego Schwartzman, and Cameron Norrie joined Ivo Karlovic in the winner’s circle after he took first place in the first competition. The tournament will be hosted in the Cabo Sports Complex beginning with the 2018 edition. The new venue’s largest stadium can accommodate 3500 spectators, while the second-largest stadium can hold 1200 people.
What’s exciting?
One of two ATP competitions that take occur the following week is the 2022 Los Cabos Open. The dates are August 1–6, 2018. The World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev is the star of the lineup for the sixth iteration of the ATP 250 competition.
The Russian is the top seed and is followed by Felix Auger-Aliassime, a member of the top-10, who is seeded second. Cameron Norrie, the defending champion, is seeded third, and Miomir Kecmanovic is seeded fourth.
The second and third seeds in the draw, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Cameron Norrie, respectively, lead the bottom half of the draw. Additionally, they will enter the second round with a bye.
While Norrie, the reigning champion, might start against Tseng Chun-hsin, Auger-Aliassime is set to open his campaign against John Millman. In the opening round, Fernando Verdasco and Thanasi Kokkinakis will face off. Radu Albot will be Feliciano Lopez’s opponent in his opening match.
Schedule:
On July 30 and 31, qualifying matches will be held. On Monday, August 1, the first-round matches will begin and conclude the following day. On Wednesday, the second round will happen. The semifinals, final, and quarterfinal matches will all take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, respectively.

The Cabo Sports Complex will host the competition this year. This new venue’s primary stadium has 3500 seats available. 1200 spectators can fit inside the second-largest stadium.
