Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal vs Frances Tiafoe/Jack Sock Head To Head, Odds and Prediction

The last time Federer and Nadal played together in doubles was at the Laver Cup itself. The pair defeated Jack Sock and Sam Querrey in the match’s inaugural competition, giving their team two critical points. But this is the first time Federer and Nadal have faced up against Sock and Tiafoe.

It is obvious that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will be a huge favourite against duo Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe or any other team.
Federer will play in his final match as a tennis pro tomorrow at the O2 tennis court in London, United Kingdom, in the Laver Cup 2022. Due to a series of injuries, the 41-year-old Swiss declared last week that the Laver Cup will be his final ATP match and that he would not compete in any more Grand Slam events or on any match professional tour. Twenty Grand Slam championships were won by Federer throughout his 24-year professional career.
Meanwhile, It won’t be simple because Federer hasn’t played any tennis in a long, his last match was in the Wimbledon quarterfinals of 2021. On the other hand for his partner, fitness wouldn’t be a worry for Nadal because he has been active and successful more recently. More intriguingly, the Spaniard participated in a doubles match earlier this season in Melbourne. He recently advanced to the fourth round of the US Open. He had teamed up with Jaume Munar to triumph in that match, but, like Federer, his doubles participation has largely been limited to Laver Cup.
For the other side of the net, pressure would be entirely off of Sock and Tiafoe going into this confrontation, which will be their biggest advantage. In the broad scheme of things, the majority of eyes on the court, and for that matter, everywhere in the world, would be on their opponents, which should allow them to play as well as possible.
The fact that Sock has played a lot of doubles this season gives him an advantage over the other players involved in this game. In fact, Sock and Nick Kyrgios had just last month won the Washington Open together, and the duo had also advanced to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon with Denis Kudla. Sock and John Isner also won the Indian Wells Masters competition earlier this year. Talking about his opponent, Tiafoe lacks much experience in doubles, he has participated in 11 men’s matches so far this year, winning only three of them.
Sock and Tiafoe might consider themselves the favourites in this matchup because they are up against a pair that hasn’t played many doubles matches together and has one player who isn’t in great shape.
This game is more about saying goodbye to a legend than it is about winning or losing. In that situation, the outcome won’t matter all that much, but in terms of winning the Laver Cup, Sock and Tiafoe should take an advantage of Federer’s injury situation and Nadal’s limited involvement in doubles.
