Casper Ruud vs Jack Sock
In the opening match of the 2022 Laver Cup, Casper Ruud defeated Jack Sock 6-4 5-7 10-7 to give Team Europe its first victory.
The American then ran lightly across the court to put himself 40-0 up on Ruud’s serve, then finished the break to put him 5-4 down, but he was unable to mount a comeback to prevent the Europeans from winning a set.
In the second set, Ruud took the opening game, but he seemed to lose his focus in the 11th frame of the second set, as a string of double faults allowed Sock to push his advantage and break to go up 6-5 and eventually win 7-5.
As a result, the match was decided by a 10-point tie-break.
Sock quickly took a 3-0 lead by using his backhand down the line. However, a tweener set him up for what appeared to be a routine overhead shot that he sent into the net, giving Sock a 3-2 advantage over Ruud.
Since neither player was quite ruthless enough to end the match early, Ruud fought to a 10-7 victory.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Diego Schwartzman
In the 2022 Laver Cup, Europe had a 2-0 lead after World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Diego Schwartzman in straight sets on Friday, September 23.
Tsitsipas upset Argentina’s Schwartzman 6-2, 6-1. The game at Centre Court ended up being a one-sided contest as Tsitsipas sped to win without breaking a sweat.
Andy Murray vs Alex de Minaur
In a tense match in London on Friday night, Alex de Minaur defeated Andy Murray with a score of 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 to give Team World its first point in the Laver Cup.

Schedule
On the second day of the delicately balanced Laver Cup 2022, Novak Djokovic makes his return to action after a two-month absence with back-to-back sets.
After facing Frances Tiafoe, who reached the semifinals of the US Open, Djokovic partners up with Matteo Berrettini, whom he defeated in the 2021 Wimbledon final, to play Alex de Minaur and Jack Sock in a doubles match that will wrap up the Saturday schedule.
The Saturday schedule is kicked off by Berrettini’s sixth match against Félix Auger-Aliassime, while in the singles encounter, Cameron Norrie will take on Taylor Fritz.
