Aston Villa new head coach, Steven Gerrard, drafted a ruthless fines list for his players, which has been leaked online.
Gerrard’s leaked fine list includes all sorts of fines, including fines for those who get sent off during matches.
The list comes just ahead of the 2022–23 season, as Gerrard and his men gear up for the new season. The former Liverpool star replaced previous Villans’ boss Dean Smith in November 2019. The upcoming season will be the first time he takes charge for the full season in the Premier League.

Gerrard introduces a brutal list of rules and fines for failing to follow them. He has specifically drafted the list to maintain discipline within the club’s players.
The contents of the ruthless fine list
Gerrard’s iron rule began with the banning of ketchup, before coming up with the plan to impose a fine list. The list has imposed fines on various mistakes that include illegal parking, and even forgetting cakes on birthdays, among others.
The leaked fine list also includes fines for players who are sent off during matches. The fine for that particular offence stands out, as players have to take the whole team out for a meal within 4 weeks of getting the red card.
There is also a punishment for the worst player during training before match days. The players will vote amongst themselves, and the particular player will have to wear a jumper with the words “I am the worst trainer” for the whole of next week on the training ground.
Financial fines
Apart from these punishments, Gerrard has also introduced some fines that will cost the players financially. Even minor offences such as leaving plates and cups on the dining table could cost players £100 per item. Players who arrive late for matchday meetings will be fined £1000.
Hopefully, the fine list will help the players gear up for the season. The Villans are scheduled to play against Bournemouth in an away game on August 6 for their first match of the Premier League 2022-23 campaign.
