These side-by-side shots showed near-identical outfits, poses, and settings—raising suspicions about digital fabrication.
More examples followed, such as one with a woman in a pink dress (Instagram handle Anamika Desi), another taken in front of DLF Avenue and one more showing a woman who tagged her photo with Kolkata while Archi posted the same-looking photo of herself from Delhi.
However, a detailed investigation by the Just Assam Things team traced the visuals back to altered source material, revealing that the original images had been digitally manipulated using advanced AI tools and the face used in the viral content may belong to a real girl from Dibrugarh, but no concrete confirmation has been found so far.
