The Asian U20 Athletics Championships 2024 has already kicked off with a total of 60 atheletes including 31 men and 29 women vying for the medals.
Several athelete have already bagged medals at the ongoing tournament in Dubai.

Men’s javelin throw winners Rohan Yadav and Deepanshu Sharma bagged silver and gold, respectively, at the Asian under-20 athletics championships held in Dubai on Wednesday. In terms of throwing distance, Rohan had the longest throw, measuring 70.03 metres.
Priyanshu just lost to Aitoulghazi of Qatar at the finish line in the men’s 1500m to take home another gold medal and had to settle for silver for his time of 3:50.85 seconds. With Ritik’s (52.23m) men’s discus throw, India won another silver medal.

On the second day, Aarti won a bronze medal in the women’s 10,000 m race walk, which was 47:45.33sec at Asian U20 in Dubai.
The 21st Asian U20 Athletics Championships is a qualifying event for the World U20 Athletics Championships 2024 and the 2024 World U20 Athletics Championships will be held in the Peruvian capital city of Lima from 27 to 31 August 2024.
