2023 Asian Games kabaddi latest results, day 3 schedule, date, venue, India vs Bangladesh score, & participating teams
Experienced raider Naveen Kumar initiated the Indian kabaddi team’s momentum with a superb raid early in the game. Arjun Deshwal also contributed with rapid point-scoring, leading to India inflicting an all-out on Bangladesh within five minutes, establishing an 11-1 advantage. Although Bangladesh managed to eliminate the Indian captain Pawan Sehrawat and Naveen Kumar through super tackles, they struggled to mount an offensive, lacking successful raids and bonus points. This allowed India to extend their lead to 15 points, with a halftime score of 24-9.
India continued to dominate in the second half of the kabaddi match. The seven-time Asian Games champions introduced Sachin Tanwar and Akash Shinde into the game, executing three all-outs to further widen the gap between the two teams. Bangladesh managed to accumulate points through occasional tackles, but it was insufficient against the consistently strong performance of the well-balanced Indian side, who managed to clinch the tie by score of 55-18. In their upcoming matches, the Indian kabaddi team is scheduled to face Thailand on Wednesday and square off against Chinese Taipei in their final group match on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the Indian women’s kabaddi team managed to earn a humongous victory of 56-23 versus South Korea. With this win, India sit at the top of Group-A standings with four points from two games. Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei sit in second-place with same points and relatively inferior point differential. As per schedule, India will clash against Thailand in their final group game on Wednesday.
