2023 Asian Games hockey latest results, India vs Pakistan schedule, date, venue, format, & participating teams
In their third match of the 2023 Asian Games, the Indian men’s hockey team secured a 4-2 victory against the defending champions Japan at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium. This victory allowed India to regain the top spot in the Pool A hockey standings, displacing Pakistan. Both teams remain undefeated after three matches, but India leads the table with a superior goal difference of +33, while Pakistan holds a +30 goal difference.
Abhishek (13′, 48′), Mandeep Singh (24′), and Amit Rohidas (34′) were the goal scorers for India, while Japan managed to net two goals in the final four minutes through Genki Mitani (57′) and Ryosei Kato (60′) to narrow the final score-line. The much-anticipated hockey clash between India and Pakistan is set to take place this upcoming Saturday. It is confirmed that the winner of this India-Pakistan hockey encounter will rise to the top spot in the Pool A rankings.
