2023 Asian Games hockey latest results, semi-final schedule, date, venue, India vs Bangladesh score, & qualified teams
On Monday, the Indian men’s hockey team continued their successful streak at the Asian Games 2023 with a resounding 12-0 triumph against Bangladesh at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium. Harmanpreet Singh (2′, 4′, 32′), Mandeep Singh (18′, 24′, 46), Lalit Upadhyay (23′), Amit Rohidas (28′), Abhishek (41′, 57′), Nilakanta Sharma (47′), and Sumit (56′) all contributed to India’s victory in their concluding group stage hockey match. India, ranked third in the FIH world hockey rankings, entered the game following a commanding 10-2 win over their arch-rivals Pakistan on the previous Saturday. Earlier in the tournament, India emerged victorious against Uzbekistan (16-0), Singapore (16-1), and Japan (4-2).
As a result of this win, India claimed the top spot in the Pool A standings at the Asian Games 2023 hockey tournament, amassing a total of 15 points from five matches. Following this achievement, it is confirmed that the Indian men’s hockey team will face-off against South Korea in Wednesday’s semi-final. Meanwhile, Japan won 3-2 against Pakistan to finish in second-place of Group-A and qualify for the semi-final, where they will clash against China.
