From 23 September to 8 October, there will be 481 events, 37 sports, and 45 National Olympic Committees at the Asiad. On September 26, both baseball and softball competitions will kick off.
The largest baseball and softball facility in China, the Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Centre, will host the baseball and softball tournaments, as per wbsc.org website. Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China is home to the latest state-of-art complex.
On September 26, No. 70 Thailand, No. 74 Singapore, and No. 75 Laos will face off in a three-team group matchup to kick off the baseball action. In this phase, two groups of four teams will compete, with the top two teams moving on to the second phase.
Despite the absence of active Major League Baseball (MLB) players, the event will feature MLB veterans, including those who have participated in the illustrious MLB postseason.

India’s women’s softball team, which will compete for the first time at the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023, has unveiled its 16-member roster. Ranked 50 in the world, Indians are not the only debutante.
