During the quarter-finals of the women’s badminton team event at the 2023 Asian Games, PV Sindhu, Ashmita Chaliha, and Gayatri Gopichand-Treesa Jolly all suffered defeats as India lost 0-3 against Thailand. PV Sindhu managed to win her first game against Pornpawee Chochuwong in the opening singles match, but she ultimately lost the next two games, with a final score of 21-14, 15-21, 14-21.
