Notably, the 23-year-old finished under thirteen seconds in the semifinal and finished first her final with a timing of 13.09 seconds, which was better than nearest challengers Terada Asuka and Aoki Masumi. Meanwhile, Ajay Kumar Saroj tried his best in the closing stages and managed to clinch a gold medal in the men’s 1500m race. In the final, Ajay clocked 3:41:51s ahead of Japanese star Yusuke Takahashi’s timing of 3:42.04s.
