On the opening day of the Asia Cup Men’s Hockey tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia, India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in a high-profile match, know the full schedule for 2022
On May 23, the 11th edition of the continental hockey competition will begin. The final will take place on June 1st. On Tuesday, the Asian Hockey Federation announced the schedule for the eight-team event.

The Groups:
India and Pakistan have been assigned to Pool A, which also includes Japan and the tournament host, Indonesia. Pool B includes Bangladesh, Malaysia, Oman, and South Korea.
India, Japan, and Pakistan, as well as Bangladesh, were in Pool A in the 2017 tournament. Then, to win their third title, India went unbeaten.
South Korea is the most successful team in the competition, having won in 1994, 1999, 2009, and 2013. India, on the other hand, is the most consistent team in Asia Cup hockey history, having been in all but two finals.
India has won three championships (in 2003, 2007, and 2017) while Pakistan has won three times (1982, 1985, and 1989).

Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2022 Format:
Each pool will play four teams once in the preliminary stage, with the top two teams progressing to the Super 4s. Four teams will face each other once in the Super 4s. The top two teams will then compete in the championship game. The top three teams will go to the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in India in 2023.
