Archers from across 13 countries will take part in the Archery Asia Cup 2023 Stage 2 in Tashkent.
Competition preview
India men’s recurve archer and London 2012 Olympian Jayanta Talukdar, and Abhishek Verma, who is a two-time individual men’s compound gold medal-winner at archery World Cups, will lead the 16-member Indian contingent in the upcoming tournament.
The upcoming tournament is the second leg of the Asia Cup 2023 archery event, and it is a world-ranking tournament. Stage 1 of the event took place in Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei, last month.
During that event, the Indian archers finished with 10 medals – five gold, four silver, and one bronze. However, India will be feature an entirely different squad for the Tashkent leg.

Fans in India can watch the live streaming of the Archery Asia Cup 2023 Tashkent stage 2 on the World Archery YouTube channel. The World Archery website will also provide the live scores of the event. Sadly, for fans, there is no live telecast of the Archery Asia Cup 2023 on any TV channel in India.
Archery Asia Cup 2023 Tashkent team India squad
The Indian archery team consists of total of 16 Indian archers, eight men and eight women. While eight of the participants – four men and women – will compete in the recurve category, the other eight, will compete play in the compound archery events.
This will be India’s second-string team selected through the trials in February. The first team recently completed at the Archery World Cup stage 1 in Antalya, Turkey and includes Olympians Atanu Das and Tarundeep Rai.
