What exactly happened in Chapter 54
As described in Chapter 54 of “Ashtarte,” Ashtarte and Abelion go on a perilous journey to the Firenze Empire. They investigate the possible connection between the mysterious black dragon and a dire portent. They encounter some bandits along the route, but Ashtarte disposes of them quickly with her power.
They can’t believe the princess when she reveals her identity and warns them from approaching her. Ashstarte begs the frightened bandits to leave so she and her companions can continue their trek in peace. On their trip, the pair reflects on their relationship and how far it has come.
Ashstarte was courageous when she confessed her love to Abelion, but she put her relationship with Abelion ahead of her duty to her country and family. They pick a sleepy little town far from the kingdom to spend the night in. Abelion is impressed by her candor, so he gives her a passionate kiss and promises to always look out for her. When they need some space, they change appearances and check into a hotel for the night.
The next day brought discord as amazing forces pursued them. It came as a shock to learn that Prince Leonhart, Ashtarte’s brother, was the army’s commander. The sight of his sister with Abelion, whom Leonhart views as a renegade and a traitor, infuriates Leonhart. He claimed Abelion had planned to abduct him together with Ashstarte.
