Currently social media platforms are buzzing with a viral video of an animal called Minikins as users are claiming that they have discovered the creatures have been swamping in Georgia.
The creates that look like an alien have been described as real and abandoned, and these claims have gone viral across multiple platforms including X, TikTok and YouTube.

Are Minikins Creatures Real or Fake?
For the curious, though the video of Minikins have taken over the social media platforms completely.
One might even find them cute or pretty or even thinking of petting one but to your surprise these creatures are not real animals.
The content circulating online appears to have been created using AI tools. As of now there is no credible news outlet have reported the existence of these creatures. So, the question arise where did the viral video came from and who made it?
Who Started the Rumor?
To answer the aforesaid question, a YouTube channel which goes by the name Headtap Videos was the first one to claim that the Minikins were found “orphaned.”
Earlier, on June 9, the YouTube channel uploaded a video, wherein, fish-like creatures with large, dilated eyes, a slim build, four limbs, and human-like features such as a nose, mouth, and ears were shown.

Additionally, the channel asserted that these creatures were found in Georgia’s Okefenokee Swamp. Moreover, the YouTuber claims that they had been rescued by the Minikins Rescue and Conservation Center.
It didn’t end there as they further went on to claim that after being rescued these creatures have been receiving proper care and nutrition.
They asserted that the rescue center is providing them care with the intention of eventually returning them to their natural habitat.
About Headtap Videos Channel
In another video uploaded on June 24, the YouTuber further claimed that the creatures are now receiving proper treatment with rescue center using special equipment such as micro-cameras and sound devices to gather more crucial data on their life cycles and unique symbiosis.
Let us remind you, despite the popularity of these videos, these creatures are just fictional made by using artificial intelligence. As aforementioned, the claims of the Minikins’ existence came from Headtap Videos channel and the channel’s bio itself reads as “experiment in videos and graphics.”
In addition the official website of the channel that is headtap.net, describe that their content is purely fictional. Previously, Headtap Videos have shared various AI oriented content including fish with human faces, plants with eyes etc.
